Professor Ulf Görman

Dr. Ulf Görman is professor of ethics at the University of Lund in Sweden. He holds a doctorate in philosophy of religion at Lund. His research focuses on bioethics and ethical issues in science and religion. Recently he has devoted his energy to the study of issues connected to the ethical claims of sociobiology and has published a number of articles on these questions, mainly in Swedish. He is currently leader of a multidisciplinary project at Lund, investigating religious mobility from the perspective of the individual as well as the society Current publications include: Towards a New Understanding of Conversion (ed.) (Religio 50, Lund University 1999) and The Human Person in Science and Theology (ed.) with Willem B. Drees and Niels Henrik Gregersen (T&T Clark/Eerdmans 2000). Ulf Görman has been the secretary of Societas Ethica, Europäische Forschungsgesellschaft für Ethik, and he is currently the president of European Society for the Study of Science and Theology (ESSSAT).
