An interdisciplinary conference exploring how the life sciences have reshaped humanity

ISSR is joining the Ian Ramsey Centre in Oxford in organising their annual summer conference in 2017, beginning on the evening of Wednesday 19th July and ending with breakfast on Sunday 22nd July.

Biological approaches to religion have been an important growth area recently, an area that is a major focus of current ISSR research initiatives.

The conference will include a plenary symposium arising from the current ISSR project on The New Biology, with speakers including Professors Ottolline Leyser, Michael Reiss, Michael Ruse and Fraser Watts.

Other plenary speakers will include Samantha Frost, Massimo Pigliucci, Rebecca Stott, Ullica Segerstrale and Alister McGrath.

Public Lectures: Michael Reiss (biology education), Alister McGrath (natural theology).

In addition to invited plenary speakers papers relevant to the conference theme will be invited. Further details will be available shortly. Submission of papers and registration will be through the IRC website
