Biography

Dr. Carl Feit is a noted cancer research scientist who is the occupant of the Dr. Joseph and Rachel Ades Chair in Health Sciences at Yeshiva University, where he serves as Chairperson of the Science Division of Yeshiva College. Dr. Feit has taught in the Biology Department of Yeshiva College since 1985. Prior to that he was a research scientist at The Laboratory for Immunodiagnosis at the Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research. He has conducted research on making monoclonal antibodies to help diagnose and treat cancer, and has written extensively on the nature of antigens that appear on the cells of sarcomas, malignant tumors of the bone, blood and muscle tissue.

Dr. Feit did his undergraduate work at Yale and Yeshiva Universities and holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Rutgers University. He serves on the editorial board of Cancer Investigation. Dr. Feit is also an ordained rabbi and a Talmudic scholar. He has lectured and taught Talmud classes for many years.
