Biography
Shiva Khalili, born in 1967 in Tehran, received her Mag. Rer. Nat. (Diploma Topic: the Topography of slow Potentials during verbal and spatial learning- and Memory processes) and Ph. D. (Topic of Dissertation: “Psychology, Psychopathology and Islam”) with best awards from Vienna University, Austria. She founded the department of science and religion at the National Research Center for Medical Studies in 2000 in Tehran and has been the head of the group at their new host since 2005, the World Religions Research Center.
She has served as assistant Professor and member of the scientific Board at the faculty of psychology and education, Tehran University. She is currently a lecturer at Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna and is a registered CBT psychotherapist, clinical and health psychologist in Austria. Her research focuses on mental health and culture/religion.
