Biography

Dr Jonathan P. Hill is Associate Professor of Sociology at Calvin College. He directs the National Study of Religion and
Human Origins and is author of Emerging adulthood and faith (Calvin College Press, 2015) and co-author of Young Catholic
America: emerging adults in, out of, and gone from the church (Oxford University Press, 2014). His scholarship is concerned
with the relationship of religious pluralism to higher education institutions, the religious faith and practice of emerging adults,
and the influence of social and religious contexts on beliefs about human origins. He is the recipient of grants from the John
Templeton Foundation, Issachar Fund, BioLogos Foundation, Louisville Institute, and the Society for the Scientific Study of
Religion.
