1984-1990: Researcher, history of science, at the Institute of Neohellenic Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation.

1990: Assistant Research Professor, National Hellenic Research Foundation.

1995: Associate Research Professor, National Hellenic Research Foundation.

2001: Director of Research, National Hellenic Research Foundation (Director of the Programme History, Philosophy and Didactics of Science and Technology, Institute for Historical Research).

Main publications on the history of the relations between science and Orthodox Christianity, on the history of astronomy on science in Byzantium and the Ottoman Empire,  on the history of science policy, on scientific cultural identity, and on the spreading of the classical science (17th-19th c.).
