Biography
Michael Burdett is Associate Professor of Christian Theology at the University of Nottingham and an Associate of the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion, University of Oxford. Before becoming an academic, Michael worked in the aerospace and robotics industries for several years working with a firm that had contracts with NASA and JPL. He holds degrees in engineering, physics, and theology and has published and presented internationally on Christian theology, continental philosophy, technology and transhumanism, and evolution. He is a series editor (with Mark Harris) for the Routledge Science and Series and is author of the books Beyond Genetic Engineering: Technology and the Religion of Transhumanism (Grove Books, 2014) and Eschatology and the Technological Future (Routledge, 2015) and is co-editor of the book Finding Ourselves After Darwin (Baker Academic, 2018).
