Biography
Joel B. Green is Professor of New Testament Interpretation and Associate Dean for the Center for Advanced Theological Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. He holds the Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) and has completed further graduate work in the neurosciences at the University of Kentucky.
Green is the author or editor of more than thirty-five books and scores of essays in journals, symposia, reference works, on a range of topics related to New Testament studies, theological studies, and the science-theology interface. His books include Body, Soul, and Human Life: The Nature of Humanity in the Bible (Studies in Theological Interpretation; Grand Rapids, Mich.: Baker Academic; Carlisle: Paternoster, 2008); and edited volumes entitled In Search of the Soul: Four Views of the Mind-Body Problem (2nd ed.; Eugene, Ore.: Wipf & Stock, 2010) and What about the Soul? Neuroscience and Christian Anthropology (Nashville: Abingdon, 2004).
